What will I gain from the course?
Level 3 is an opportunity to move beyond learning and individual counselling skills and begin developing a deeper understanding of the theory and professional principals that underpin counselling practice.
Throughout the course, you will explore areas including counselling theory, ethical practice and mental health while continuing to develop counselling skills and self-awareness.
You will also begin to develop a greater understanding of what it means to work within a professional counselling environment and prepare for the expectations of further practitioner training.
CPCAB describes Level 3 as an important part of the progression route towards becoming a counsellor.
Developing as a counselling student
Counselling training requires reflection, self-awareness, openness and a willingness to learn from your experiences.
Our supportive learning environment gives you the opportunity to explore counselling theory, practise your skills, reflect on your own development and learn alongside others who are progressing on their counselling journey.
Students who pass the course can progress to the next level of counselling training, which is the Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
Level 3 can be an exciting stage of training as you begin brining together skills, theory, ethics and self-awareness in preparation for the next level.
